Dr. Mohd Faizan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics Mirza Ghalib College Gaya, Bihar. Before joining this college he has also worked as Assistant Professor (Contractual) in the Department of Physics Women’s College Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He carried out his B.Sc. in Physics from Dr. R.M.L. Abvadh University Faizabad. He obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in Physics from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He was awarded Ph.D. (29 December-2018) in the area of molecular spectroscopy on the topic of “Structural and spectroscopic studies of some polyatomic molecules” under the supervision of Prof. Shabbir Ahmad. He has qualified many national level examinations such as CSIR-JRF, CSIR-UGC-NET (LS), GATE, JEST and UPSC-Geophysicist (written) with good rank. He has also received CSIR-JRF and CSIR-SRF fellowship during his Ph.D. tenure. His research interest is in the field of vibrational and electronic spectroscopy of polyatomic molecules and investigating structure and spectra of organic single crystal. Recently, I am also focused on the development of rare earth doped phosphors using sol-gel, combustion, solid state reaction method, etc and study their spectroscopic properties for potential applications in various sectors. He has published over 30 research papers in reputed international journals like; Journal of Alloy and Compound, Journal of Molecular Structure, Spectrochimica Acta A, Vibrational Spectroscopy, Crystal Growth & Designed (ACS), Polyhedron, Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, Optik, Spectroscopy Letter and AIP conference proceeding. He has also presented his research in many national/international conferences/seminars in India.
